R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Rosie Gutierrez of Weslaco has served with 
distinction as the district assistant in the office of State 
Representative Miguel D. Wise since September 2001, and she truly 
deserves commendation for making that office an effective resource 
center for the people of District 39; and
	WHEREAS, A graduate of South Texas Vocational Technical 
Institute in McAllen, Ms. Gutierrez is experienced in bookkeeping, 
accounting, paralegal studies, law office management, and 
research; her exemplary contributions as district assistant have 
encompassed all matters involved in running a state 
representative's district office, ranging from organizational and 
legislative duties to public relations; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Gutierrez has been an active volunteer in her 
community, and she has received the Governor George Bush 
Certificate of Award for Volunteer Service; in addition, this 
multitalented individual is highly skilled in making floral 
arrangements, crocheting, and sewing; and
	WHEREAS, The constituents of District 39 have been the 
beneficiaries of her hard work, dedication, and expertise, and it 
is a distinct pleasure to recognize Ms. Gutierrez for a job well 
done; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby honor Rosie Gutierrez for 
her exceptional service as district assistant in the office of 
State Representative Miguel D. Wise and extend to her warmest best 
wishes for future success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Gutierrez as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
