H.R. No. 19 



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and on July 26, 2003, Samuel and Shirley Cundiff of 
Marshall commemorated this joyous occasion in their marriage; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Cundiff and the former Shirley Laverne Irvine 
were wed on August 29, 1953, and since that time, their family has 
grown to include four children and their spouses, Sheryl Morphew 
and her husband, Roy, Steve Cundiff, Shirley Manuel and her 
husband, Jeff, and Stanley Cundiff and his wife, Merrily, as well as 
nine cherished grandchildren, Carrie, Stacy, Eric, Jennifer, 
Jeffrey, Stephanie, Rachel, Scott, and Sarah; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Cundiff celebrated their anniversary by 
renewing their vows at First Assembly of God in Marshall and 
reminiscing with family and friends during the reception that 
followed; and
	WHEREAS, For five decades, the Cundiffs have enjoyed a 
relationship built on trust, understanding, and mutual respect; 
they have demonstrated a deep commitment to one another, to their 
family, and to the institution of marriage, and the love they share 
remains an inspiration to all who know them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Samuel and 
Shirley Cundiff on their golden wedding anniversary and extend to 
them warmest best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Cundiff as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
