R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Texas interior designer Christi Proctor has joined 
the cast of The Learning Channel's hit television show, Trading 
Spaces; and
	WHEREAS, Raised in Weslaco, Mrs. Proctor is a successful 
entrepreneur who today lives in Waco, where she owns and operates an 
interior design business, Design Resources, and is the founder of 
Spice Furniture and Design; and
	WHEREAS, This talented woman's design artistry is built on 
the outstanding educational foundation she received from the 
Weslaco public school system and Baylor University; much of her 
creativity and originality is born of her vibrant heritage and the 
strong cultural influences of South Texas; and
	WHEREAS, The popular television series Trading Spaces has 
enlisted Mrs. Proctor's talent, enthusiasm, and energy to entertain 
and inspire a national audience in the manner in which she has long 
served Waco clientele; a design ambassador for her home state, she 
will surely make proud her legions of Lone Star fans; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Christi 
Proctor on her exciting new role on Trading Spaces and extend to her 
sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mrs. Proctor as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
