H.R. No. 36
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, It is a distinct pleasure for the Texas House of
Representatives to pay tribute to Charles Scoma as he graduates
from Dallas Baptist University on August 8, 2003, at the age of 64;
and
WHEREAS, A resident of North Richland Hills and current chair
of the Tarrant County Fatherhood Coalition, Mr. Scoma returned to
college to complete his degree in business administration, and his
perseverance and dedication to his goals have brought him much
deserved success in this noteworthy pursuit; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Scoma has long been a contributor of his time and
talents to many civic endeavors, including serving his fellow
citizens of North Richland Hills as mayor and as a city council
member; his leadership abilities benefitted the Birdville
Independent School District when he headed the board as president,
and in the position of trustee, he was conferred master school
trustee status by the Texas Association of School Boards, one of
many accolades this outstanding gentleman has received; and
WHEREAS, Charles Scoma is an individual whose exemplary
commitment to his education, to his family, and his community is an
inspiration to all who know him; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Charles Scoma
on his graduation from Dallas Baptist University and extend to him
sincere best wishes for continued success and fulfillment; and, be
it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Scoma as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
