R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for a 
celebration, and in 2003 Charles William and Cleon Green of 
Winnsboro marked this significant milestone in their marriage with 
a family gathering; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Green exchanged wedding vows with the former 
Venice Cleon Oberst on July 2, 1953, in Richton, Mississippi; the 
couple have nurtured a special bond over the years, and their union 
has been blessed with a loving and supportive family that includes 4 
children, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, This devoted couple have demonstrated a deep 
commitment to one another, to their family, and to the institution 
of marriage, and it is a pleasure to join in honoring them at this 
time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Charles 
William and Cleon Green on the joyous occasion of their 50th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 
happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Green as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
