R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Morgan Champlin, an esteemed resident of Colleyville and a student at Colleyville Middle School, has achieved national recognition for exemplary volunteer service by receiving a 2003 Prudential Spirit of Community Award; and WHEREAS, This prestigious award, presented by Prudential Financial in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals, honors young volunteers across America who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to serving their communities; and WHEREAS, Ms. Champlin earned this award by giving generously of her time and energy to Rocky Top Therapeutic Riding Center, where she assists trainers who work with disabled children and has raised more than $1,500 to support this wonderful program; and WHEREAS, The success of the State of Texas, the strength of our communities, and the overall vitality of American society depend, in great measure, upon the dedication of young people like Ms. Champlin who use their considerable talents and resources to serve others; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby honor Morgan Champlin for earning a Prudential Spirit of Community Award and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued happiness and success in all future endeavors; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Ms. Champlin as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
