H.R. No. 86 



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Enrique Gonzalez, Jr., of Edinburg has been a 
dedicated educator for the Edinburg Consolidated Independent 
School District for the past 30 years, and it is indeed a pleasure 
to recognize his many accomplishments; and
	WHEREAS, A graduate of Edinburg High School, Mr. Gonzalez 
earned his bachelor of science degree in elementary education with 
a minor in physical education in 1977; during his tenure with 
Edinburg CISD, he has taught elementary school, and he currently 
instructs students in sixth-grade math; Mr. Gonzalez has been named 
Teacher of the Month for his school, and he appeared in Who's Who 
Among America's Teachers in 1996; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Gonzalez is a devoted family man who married the 
former Dora de la Rosa in August of 1973, and their special union 
has been blessed with one daughter, Rebeka Ivette Gonzalez, and one 
son, Homar Enrique Gonzalez; and
	WHEREAS, Representative Pena has justly recognized this 
exemplary educator by authoring this resolution in his behalf 
during the 78th legislative session; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Enrique Gonzalez, 
Jr., for his 30 years of service in education and extend to him best 
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Gonzalez as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
