R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Orman and June Roderick of Ladonia are celebrating 
their 50th wedding anniversary on August 16, 2003, with a special 
barbecue supper hosted by their daughter and son-in-law, Rita and 
Weldon Erwin of Commerce; and
	WHEREAS, Joined in marriage on August 14, 1953, in McKinney, 
this loving couple share a warm and fulfilling relationship that 
continues to stand the test of time; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Roderick is retired from a career with Southern 
Pacific Railroad and enjoys membership in the Bethel Masonic Lodge 
in Ladonia, while Mrs. Roderick was formerly employed by E-Systems 
and is a member of the Commerce chapter of the Eastern Star; 
together they are actively involved in the First Baptist Church of 
Pecan Gap; and
	WHEREAS, Orman and June Roderick have shared life's trials 
and triumphs for half a century and their commitment to one another 
continues to inspire all who know them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Orman and June 
Roderick on the occasion of their golden wedding anniversary and 
extend to them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be 
it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Roderick as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
