H.R. No. 101
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Brandon M. Morgan of Lorena has attained the rank of
Eagle Scout, mastering the many skills necessary to achieve
scouting's highest honor; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Morgan began his scouting pursuits as a youth
with the Boy Scouts in 1998; during his years with Troop 462 he has
earned 22 merit badges in a variety of subjects, and he rebuilt and
reinforced a walking trail at Mother Neff State Park for his Eagle
Scout project; and
WHEREAS, A student at Lorena High School, Mr. Morgan is on the
football team, plays saxophone in the band, and is a member of the
Fellowship of Christian Athletes; he enjoys computers, camping, and
reading and is a valued congregant at the First Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding young man exemplifies the ideals of
scouting, and his receipt of the Eagle Scout mantle is a tribute to
his commitment to those principles; he is a source of great pride to
his parents, Vickie Morgan and Mike Morgan, and it is a pleasure to
honor him at this time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Brandon M.
Morgan on attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him best
wishes for continued happiness and success in all his endeavors;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Morgan as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
