R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Carlton J. Lemley of Boy Scouts of America Troop 462
in Lorena has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this
accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
honor, one bestowed on only a fraction of those who enter the
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
criteria, Mr. Lemley earned the requisite 21 merit badges and
successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to the
local community, constructing the first picnic area outside the
central pavilion at McBrayer Park in Lorena; and
WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Bob and Sylvia Lemley, this
fine young man has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability
throughout his scouting career; he has served his fellow scouts as
assistant patrol leader, patrol leader, instructor, assistant
senior patrol leader, and senior patrol leader, winning their
respect and admiration as he worked toward the highest rank that
scouting offers; and
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Lemley's dedication to excellence and
his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy
to stand among scouting's elite, and he may reflect with pride on a
job well done; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Carlton J.
Lemley for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him best
wishes for future success and happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Lemley as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
