R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Taylor High School boys' swim team has reached a
pinnacle of success by winning the 2003 UIL Class 5A state title;
and
WHEREAS, Competing at The University of Texas Swim Center in
Austin, these superb swimmers demonstrated true championship heart
throughout the two-day event, outperforming the competition to gain
the coveted crown; and
WHEREAS, Each team member contributed to the shared goal of
taking home the state title by working at the peak of his ability,
including Colt Adams, Bobby Aertker, Greg Boyce, Ryan Cook, Reece
Dukes, Bryan Duncan, Stephen Foster, Grant Gutierrez, Blake
Lindsey, Steven Kosler, Noah Martin, Brian Regone, Jason Roberson,
Jordan Ryan, Evan Ryser, Austin Stanley, and Max Weyermann; and
WHEREAS, The impressive accomplishments of these athletes
and their coaching staff are a source of great pride to their
friends and families, and the team is indeed deserving of special
recognition; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate the members of
the Taylor High School boys' swim team on winning the 2003 UIL Class
5A state title and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued
success; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the Taylor High School swim team as an expression of
high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
