H.R. No. 151
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Dr. Walter L. Sisk, Jr., is retiring from medical
practice after 42 years serving the residents of Fannin County, and
his retirement provides a fitting opportunity to reflect on his
accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Sisk attended East Texas Baptist University and
continued his studies at The University of Texas Southwestern
Medical School in Dallas, later serving his internship at Letterman
Army Hospital in San Francisco; and
WHEREAS, After eight years in the military, he began his
medical career in Mount Pleasant but moved his practice to Bonham in
1961 to join the staff at Bonham's M&S Clinic; and
WHEREAS, For more than four decades, Dr. Sisk has
consistently exemplified the finest qualities of the family
practice physician, making house calls when needed as well as
performing surgeries; and
WHEREAS, He has been supported in all his endeavors by his
devoted wife, Irene, and by his children Dana, with whom he shared
his medical practice since 1979, Mike, Scott, and Suzanne; and
WHEREAS, Generations of Fannin County residents have
benefitted from Dr. Sisk's dedication both to his patients and to
maintaining the highest possible professional standards, and it is
indeed appropriate that he be honored at this time; now, therefore,
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Dr. Walter L.
Sisk, Jr., on his retirement and extend to him sincere best wishes
for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Dr. Sisk as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
