R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, August 31, 2003, marks the retirement of Charles Lester from the audit division of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, drawing to a close an outstanding 25-year career with that agency; and WHEREAS, Mr. Lester worked in the field as a tax auditor with the Houston North audit office before assuming his current duties as a senior systems analyst with audit headquarters; through the years, he has consistently provided exceptional customer service and technical support, and his notable expertise is reflected in the quality and reliability of the systems on which he worked; and WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Lester enjoys the love and support of his wife, Margaret, his sons, Jeff and Gordon, and his daughters-in-law, Michaela and Heather; retirement will undoubtedly afford him the opportunity to spend more time with his family, as well as to indulge in his love of golf; and WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Charles Lester has served the State of Texas with integrity and dedication, earning the lasting respect of all who have been privileged enough to work with him, and it is a pleasure to recognize his exemplary tenure with the state as he embarks on this exciting new chapter in his life; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby commend Charles Lester for his notable career with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend to him best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Lester as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
