R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert Livingston Loud, originally of Lincoln, Massachusetts, has been a true Yankee for his entire life, attending clam bakes, cranberry harvests, and tax-raising ceremonies in the state of Taxachusetts; and WHEREAS, Mr. Loud has established himself as a true New Englander by demonstrating he has never met a tax increase or government spending program he didn't like; and WHEREAS, There are many here in the Great State of Texas who believe Mr. Loud, because of his openness to new ideas and eagerness to seek out the truth, could be rehabilitated; and WHEREAS, Mr. Loud already bears many of the qualities of a Texan such as a larger-than-life personality and proud manner, and these qualities make him a prime candidate for becoming an Honorary Texan; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 2nd Called Session, as a measure of its good faith does hereby confer the title of "Honorary Texan" upon Mr. Robert Livingston Loud with full confidence that he will mend his ways and adhere to the Texas principles of small government, low taxes, and efficient service; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Loud as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
