R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Mr. Robert Livingston Loud, originally of Lincoln,
Massachusetts, has been a true Yankee for his entire life,
attending clam bakes, cranberry harvests and tax-raising
ceremonies in the state of Taxachusetts; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Loud has established himself as a true
New-Englander by demonstrating he has never met a tax increase or
government spending program he didn't like; and
WHEREAS, There are many here in the Great State of Texas who
believe Mr. Loud, because of his openness to new ideas and eagerness
to seek out the truth, could be rehabilitated; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Loud already bears many of the qualities of a
Texan such as a larger than life personality and proud manner, and
these qualities make him a prime candidate for becoming an Honorary
Texan; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature as a measure of its good faith does hereby confer the
title of 'Honorary Texan' upon Mr. Robert Livingston Loud with full
confidence that he will mend his ways and adhere to the Texas
principles of small government, low taxes and efficient service;
and be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Loud as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
