R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Grisham Middle School Honors Band has been 
invited to perform at the International Band and Orchestra 
Conference being held in Chicago on December 18, 2003, and this 
significant honor is truly well deserved; and
	WHEREAS, This acclaimed student ensemble is one of only three 
middle school bands to be invited to participate in the 2003 
conference, which features bands from all 50 states and 30 
countries; and
	WHEREAS, Committed to excellence, the talented young 
musicians in the Grisham Middle School Honors Band are a source of 
tremendous pride to their teachers, fellow students, and many 
supporters in the community, and it is indeed appropriate that they 
be commended for their accomplishments in light of this most recent 
honor; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate the members of 
the Grisham Middle School Honors Band on being selected to perform 
in the International Band and Orchestra Conference  and extend to 
them sincere best wishes for continued success in the future; and, 
be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the band as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
