H.R. No. 192



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for a 
celebration, and on August 8, 2003, Shelby and Pat Carter marked 
that significant milestone in their marriage; and
	WHEREAS, Since pledging their love and support to each other 
as husband and wife on August 8, 1953, Mr. and Mrs. Carter have 
enjoyed a close and fulfilling relationship that serves as an 
inspiration to their wide circle of family and friends; and
	WHEREAS, Together, this devoted couple have shared the trials 
and triumphs of five decades, and it is a great pleasure to pay 
tribute to their enduring union; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 2nd Called Session, hereby congratulate Shelby and Pat 
Carter on the joyous occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary and 
extend to them best wishes for continued happiness in the years to 
come; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Carter as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
