Amend CSHB 7 (Senate committee printing) by adding an 
appropriately numbered ARTICLE to read as follows:

ARTICLE ____:  STATE TRAVEL SERVICES CONTRACTS
	SECTION ____.  Section 44.044, Education Code, as added by 
Chapter 482, Acts of the 78th Legislature, Regular Session, 2003, 
is amended to read as follows:
	Sec. 44.044.  LIMIT ON EXPENDITURES FOR TRAVEL SERVICES.  A 
school district or public junior college may not reimburse an 
officer or employee for expenditures under a Texas Building and 
Procurement Commission's travel services contract for travel 
services in excess of the applicable amount [determined using the 
state travel allowance guide adopted by the comptroller under 
Section 660.021, Government Code].
