Amend CSHB 7 by adding the following SECTION and renumbering 
the other SECTIONS accordingly:
	SECTION ____.  Subchapter B, Chapter 301, Government Code, 
is amended by adding Section 301.035 to read as follows:
	Sec. 301.035.  RECORD VOTES REQUIRED.  Each vote taken by a 
house of the legislature or by a committee of either house on final 
adoption or approval of a bill or resolution, other than a 
congratulatory, memorial, or similar resolution, or on an amendment 
to such a bill or resolution or a motion to table an amendment to 
such a bill or resolution, must be a record vote, and the record of 
how each member of the house or committee voted shall be recorded in 
the journal of the house or the minutes of the committee, as 
appropriate.
