Amend SR 30 on page 1, line 38, by adding the following after 
the period:  

"This provision does not apply if a member determines that their 
absence is necessary to comply with their oath or affirmation of 
office to "preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution and laws 
of the United States and of this State" or if a member is absent due 
to service in any branch of the armed forces of the United States."
