CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
	WHEREAS, The 100th birthday celebration of an esteemed Texas 
citizen is an event most worthy of special recognition, and on 
October 1, 2003, Anna Guidry of Beaumont marked this momentous 
milestone in her life; and
	WHEREAS, Born Anna Boudreaux on October 1, 1903, in Vermilion 
Parish, Louisiana, this beloved woman married Remick Guidry in July 
1927; their union was blessed with seven children, and she has seen 
her extended family grow to include 17 grandchildren and numerous 
great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, A cherished member of her community, Mrs. Guidry is 
a source of inspiration to those around her, and her love and 
friendship have truly enriched the lives of many people; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the 78th Legislature of the State of Texas, 
3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Anna Guidry on the occasion 
of her 100th birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for 
continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mrs. Guidry as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives and Senate.
