H.R. No. 6
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Tyler W. Brackeen of Lorena was recently awarded the
rank of Eagle Scout, one of scouting's most prestigious
decorations; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brackeen, who became a Boy Scout in 1997, has
earned 27 merit badges and has held a variety of leadership offices,
including those of troop guide, instructor, and senior patrol
leader; he successfully completed his Eagle Scout project, the
improvement of hiking trails at Mother Neff State Park, in August
2003, and in the years to come he can take immense pride in the role
he has played in protecting the natural resources of the Lone Star
State; and
WHEREAS, A member of Troop 462, Mr. Brackeen has volunteered
1,250 hours of his time to assist the patients at the Waco and
Marlin Veterans Affairs hospitals; this fine young man plans to
work at the Philmont Scout Ranch before enlisting in the United
States armed forces, and he may indeed look with optimism toward a
bright and promising future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Tyler W.
Brackeen on his receipt of the Eagle Scout insignia and extend to
him best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Brackeen as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
