R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The West Chamber of Commerce has chosen Andrew Bajer
as a 2003 Student of the Year in tribute to this exemplary young
man's academic accomplishments and civic contributions; and
WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Greg and Christine Holecek,
Mr. Bajer is an enthusiastic volunteer in the community; as a Key
Club member, he has participated in Toys for Tots and Storybook
Christmas; a past president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Mr.
Bajer has also served the chamber by assisting at banquets and
helping to distribute Halloween candy, decorate the Katy Depot and
city gazebo for Christmas, and maintain the marquee at the city
hall; and
WHEREAS, At West High School, he has been a member of the
Trojan football team and Future Business Leaders of America, in
addition to being selected for inclusion in Who's Who Among
American High School Students and the United States Achievement
Academy All-American Scholar Program; Mr. Bajer plans to attend
Texas State Technical College to study digital media design before
earning a degree from Baylor University; and
WHEREAS, Through hard work and dedication to his community,
Mr. Bajer has brightened the lives of many people and earned the
respect and appreciation of civic leaders and fellow citizens; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Andrew Bajer
on being named a 2003 Student of the Year by the West Chamber of
Commerce and extend to him best wishes for success and happiness in
the years ahead; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Bajer as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
