H.R. No. 12 



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly a momentous 
milestone in the lives of a couple, and on August 8, 2003, Richard 
and Billie Stevenson of Mineola marked just such a significant 
occasion in their marriage; and
	WHEREAS, The couple exchanged their wedding vows in 1953 in a 
ceremony held in Fort Worth; their close and enduring union has long 
served as a source of inspiration for their loved ones, including 
their three daughters, Melody Cabral, Amy Faucet, and Gina 
Carraher; and
	WHEREAS, Mrs. Stevenson has been a dedicated homemaker 
throughout her marriage; Mr. Stevenson is retired from a career 
with the United States Navy that enabled the Stevensons to live in 
many diverse places; and
	WHEREAS, Together, Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson have shared the 
trials and triumphs of five decades; their love for one another 
enriches the lives of their family and friends, and it is a pleasure 
to join in honoring them at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Richard and 
Billie Stevenson on the joyous occasion of their 50th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 
happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Stevenson as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
