R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Flowserve Corporation, the world's leading 
single-source provider of flow management products and related 
repair and replacement services, maintains its worldwide 
headquarters in Irving, and local citizens and community leaders 
take pride in its presence in the area; and
	WHEREAS, Flowserve manufactures products and provides 
services used in petroleum refining, oil and gas production, 
chemicals and pharmaceuticals, and other process industries; with 
operations in 34 countries, the company employs more than 14,000 
people across the globe and is a major contributor to the vitality 
of the Irving business community; and
	WHEREAS, In addition to its pump, flow control, and flow 
solutions divisions, Flowserve Corporation is well known for the 
comprehensive training services it offers at the Irving-based 
Learning Resource Center, and for the accomplishments of its 
Ohio-based foundry operations department, which since 1912 has 
pioneered many critically important industrial casting 
technologies; and
	WHEREAS, This exemplary company has contributed greatly 
toward the economic progress of the community it calls home, and it 
is a great pleasure to recognize the corporation at this time; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Flowserve 
Corporation and commend all those associated with the company on 
its myriad achievements; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Flowserve Corporation as an expression of high regard 
by the Texas House of Representatives.
