R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Billy and Gloria Evans of Midland recently 
commemorated their golden wedding anniversary with a dinner at 
their home, and this significant milestone truly deserves special 
recognition; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony on July 28, 1953, at First 
Presbyterian Church, Mr. and Mrs. Evans have shared an enduring 
union blessed with five children, Scott Evans, Elaine Shock, Dusty 
Evans, Paul Evans, and Lori Evans Lucas; over the years, they have 
proudly watched their extended family grow to include 11 
grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Evans moved to Midland in 1959 after 
having lived in Fort Stockton, Denver, Tucson, Andrews, and Japan; 
they are members of the Trinity Presbyterian Church and have worked 
in the farming and ranching industry; and
	WHEREAS, For half a century, this devoted couple have 
nurtured a strong bond of love, filling each other's lives with many 
happy times and cherished family memories, and it is a pleasure to 
honor them; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Billy and 
Gloria Evans on the joyous occasion of their 50th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them best wishes for continued happiness; 
and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Evans as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
