R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Manuel Eloy Pena and the former Esmeralda Stephanie 
"Amy" Cardenas were united in matrimony on June 28, 2003, at St. 
Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Weslaco, and this joyful event marked 
the beginning of a union filled with limitless possibilities; and
	WHEREAS, This devoted couple shared the joy of their special 
day with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lazaro Cardenas, Jr., and Mr. 
and Mrs. Richard Pena, as well as a host of other family members and 
friends; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Pena have nurtured a relationship built 
on love, respect, and devotion to one another, and it is a pleasure 
to join in honoring them as they embark on their journey together as 
husband and wife; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Manuel and Amy 
Pena on the occasion of their wedding and extend to them sincere 
best wishes for a rich and rewarding marriage; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
