H.R. No. 92 


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Texas state trooper Dwayne Urbanovsky exhibited true heroism on February 6, 2003, when he attempted to resuscitate a five-month-old baby, and his efforts have earned him the Department of Public Safety's prestigious Director's Citation Award; and WHEREAS, Trooper Urbanovsky received the citation from Department of Public Safety director Thomas A. Davis, Jr., at a ceremony held in Austin; he also received a pin to be worn on his uniform, signifying receipt of the award; and WHEREAS, A dedicated public servant, Trooper Urbanovsky came to the aid of his neighbors in their time of need, performing CPR on their infant until fire department and emergency personnel arrived to transport the baby to the Children's Hospital in Austin; and WHEREAS, The citizens of Texas are fortunate to have highly skilled men and women among us to assist in emergency situations, and Trooper Urbanovsky is a credit to both the Department of Public Safety and the law enforcement profession; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Dwayne Urbanovsky for his heroism and congratulate him on his receipt of the Department of Public Safety's Director's Citation Award; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Trooper Urbanovsky as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
