H.R. No. 110


R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, August 31, 2003, marked the retirement of Milam County game warden David Greene from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, drawing to a close an outstanding 28-year career; and WHEREAS, Mr. Greene, a Waco area native, attended McLennan Community College on a baseball scholarship, and as soon as he was old enough, he enrolled in a law enforcement academy to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a game warden; and WHEREAS, Responsible for Falls County for six years and Milam County since 1975, this esteemed law enforcement officer ably enforced the state's hunting and fishing regulations and performed search and rescue operations over the course of his outstanding career; in addition to his usual duties, Mr. Greene also helped to capture a murder suspect and participated in a major drug bust by uncovering a large methamphetamine lab; and WHEREAS, Mr. Greene has served the State of Texas with integrity and dedication, earning the lasting respect of all who have been privileged to work with him, and it is a pleasure to recognize his exemplary tenure with the state as he embarks on this exciting new chapter in his life; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate David Greene for his notable career with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department and extend to him best wishes for a happy and rewarding retirement; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Greene as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
