H.R. No. 120
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, A 65th wedding anniversary is truly a remarkable
event in the lives of two people, and Earl and Maxine Fancher of
Lamesa celebrated this momentous occasion in their marriage on
September 14, 2003, with a reception hosted by their children; and
WHEREAS, Earl Fancher married the former Maxine Hudgeons on
September 16, 1938, in Lubbock, and since that time their union has
been blessed with two daughters, four grandchildren, eight
great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and
WHEREAS, Native Texans, the couple are respected members of
the Lamesa community and valued congregants of the First Baptist
Church; and
WHEREAS, The Fanchers have shared 65 years together,
nurturing a strong bond of love and filling each other's lives with
many happy times and cherished memories, and it is indeed a
privilege to honor them at this time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Earl and
Maxine Fancher on the joyous occasion of their 65th wedding
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Fancher as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
