R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The passing of Jose Nieves Villalon on September 1,
2003, at the age of 63, has deeply saddened the family and friends
of this esteemed gentleman; and
WHEREAS, A longstanding and valued member of his community,
Mr. Villalon worked hard throughout his life to provide for his
family, teaching them values and life lessons that have inspired
and will remain with them throughout their lives; and
WHEREAS, The memory of this outstanding Texan will continue
to shine brightly in the hearts of all those who were fortunate
enough to have known him, and it is most appropriate to honor his
life at this time; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby pay tribute to the life of
Jose Nieves Villalon and extend deepest sympathy to the members of
his family: to his wife, Adela Villalon; to his mother, Maria Luisa
Villalon; to his son, Hugo Villalon; to his daughter, Martha Iris
Alvarez and her husband, Mateo; to his step-granddaughters, Pamela
Alvarez and Jackie Alvarez; to his brothers, Ruben Villalon, Raul
Villalon, Deacon Rene Villalon and his wife, Hesmeralda, Reynaldo
Villalon and his wife, Olga, Ruperto Villalon and his wife, Ofelia;
to his sisters, Maria Estella Flores, Francisca Flores and her
husband, Gumaro, Josefina Gomez and her husband, Benjamin, Odilia
Solis, Rebecca Gutierrez and her husband, Jose Santos, and Rafaela
Villalon, and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for the members of his family and that when the Texas House
of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jose
Nieves Villalon.
