H.R. No. 142



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 50th birthday is truly cause for celebration, and 
on September 27, 2003, Joel E. Reed III of Austin is observing this 
significant milestone among family and friends gathered at Cala 
Grande Ranch; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Reed is a highly regarded resident of the 
Capitol City, where he has long contributed to the betterment of his 
fellow citizens through his involvement with area nonprofit 
organizations; and
	WHEREAS, This esteemed individual has exemplified the 
qualities of fairness, integrity, and determination while proudly 
wearing the purple and white of Texas Christian University's Horned 
Frogs, and he has been an exceptional example both on and off the 
playing field as a coach of countless young athletes from baseball 
to basketball; and
	WHEREAS, The birthday of Mr. Reed provides an opportune time 
for his admirers to share with him a small bit of the joy and hope 
that he has imparted to many people through the years; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Joel E. Reed 
III on the joyous occasion of his 50th birthday and extend to him 
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. Reed as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
