                                                                  H.R. No. 160



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A 58th wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and on August 31, 2003, Clyde and Bertha Simmons of 
Greenville marked this significant event in their lives with a 
renewal of their wedding vows; and
	WHEREAS, The couple were joined in marriage on August 31, 
1945, in a ceremony held at the Church of the Living God in 
Greenville; through the years, their close and enduring 
relationship has served as an inspiration to their wide circle of 
loved ones and has been the source of much happiness and contentment 
for these two committed individuals; and
	WHEREAS, The heart of a close-knit family, Mr. and Mrs. 
Simmons have been blessed with two children; and
	WHEREAS, Together, this devoted couple have nurtured a strong 
bond of love and filled each other's lives with great joy, and it is 
a privilege to join in honoring them at this time; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Clyde and 
Bertha Simmons on the joyous occasion of their 58th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 
happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Simmons as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
