                                                                  H.R. No. 163



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, In commemoration of their 40th wedding anniversary,  
Larry and Carolyn McGee of Battle Axe will be honored with a 
combination anniversary and housewarming party hosted by their 
family when they move into their new home; and
	WHEREAS, The couple were joined in marriage on August 30, 
1963, in a ceremony held at the Battle Axe Church of Christ; through 
the years, their close and enduring relationship has served as an 
inspiration to their wide circle of loved ones and has been the 
source of much happiness and contentment for these two committed 
individuals; and
	WHEREAS, The heart of their close-knit family, Mr. and Mrs. 
McGee have been richly blessed with two sons and daughters-in-law 
and four grandchildren, Ashton, Colin, Emily, and Ethan; and
	WHEREAS, The McGees are retired from McGee Contracting, a 
plumbing and septic system business they started in 1977 and sold in 
January 2003 to their son, Dane McGee, and his wife, Sylvia; their 
other son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Karen McGee, are owners of 
M & M Services; and
	WHEREAS, Together, this devoted couple have nurtured a strong 
bond of love and filled each other's lives with great joy, and it is 
a privilege to join in honoring them at this time; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Larry and 
Carolyn McGee on the joyous occasion of their 40th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 
happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. McGee as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
