R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, In celebration of their golden wedding anniversary, 
James and Laveren Lindsey of Midland were the honorees at a 
family-hosted dinner at Tinnie's in Hondo, New Mexico; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Lindsey and his bride, the former Laveren 
Koenig, exchanged their wedding vows on September 12, 1953, in a 
ceremony held in Burkett; their enduring union gladdens the hearts 
of their circle of loved ones, which includes a son, Bryan Lindsey, 
and two grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Mrs. Lindsey has been a dedicated homemaker 
throughout her marriage, while Mr. Lindsey retired from Texaco in 
1983; the couple moved to Midland in 1959, after having lived in 
Fort Worth; and
	WHEREAS, Together, Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey have enjoyed many 
happy times and cherished family memories, and it is a pleasure to 
join in honoring this significant milestone in their marriage; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate James and 
Laveren Lindsey on the joyous occasion of their 50th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them best wishes for continued happiness; 
and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
