H.R. No. 213



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Kelly and Betty Arnold of Marshall celebrated their 
golden wedding anniversary on September 7, 2003, with a reception 
hosted by their children at the Lions Community Center; and
	WHEREAS, United in matrimony on September 5, 1953, in 
Marshall, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold have been blessed with two sons, 
Richie and Tommy Arnold, and they have proudly watched their 
extended family grow to include eight grandchildren and seven 
great-grandchildren; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold are avid race car fans, and 
through the years they have sponsored a number of dirt track race 
cars; Mr. Arnold also previously owned Arnold Fina Service Station 
and Arnold Trucking; and
	WHEREAS, For half a century, this devoted couple have shared 
an enduring union filled with many happy times and cherished family 
memories, and they are most deserving of legislative recognition 
for this milestone achievement in their life together; now, 
therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Kelly and 
Betty Arnold on the joyous occasion of their 50th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them best wishes for continued happiness; 
and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Arnold as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
