R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Inez Rich has enriched the spiritual lives of
generations of students during 70 years as a Sunday school teacher
at Gholson Baptist Church, and it is truly fitting that her
exceptional dedication be recognized at the close of her
distinguished tenure; and
WHEREAS, Born and raised in Gholson, Mrs. Rich volunteered to
teach a Sunday school class of preschoolers when she was 18, and
over the course of the next seven decades, this dedicated Christian
led classes at all age levels; by reading her Bible every day and
diligently preparing her lessons, she has taught by example that
spiritual learning is a lifelong process; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rich and her late husband, T. C., raised three
children, and today she is the matriarch of a family that includes
8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 1
great-great-grandchild; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her lifetime, Inez Rich has been a
blessing in the lives of many of her fellow citizens, and it is a
pleasure to join her family and friends in honoring her for her
unwavering commitment to her faith and service to others; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Inez Rich for her
faithful service to her church as a Sunday school teacher for 70
years and extend to her heartfelt best wishes for continued
happiness and fulfillment; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mrs. Rich as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
