R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, In commemoration of their 60th wedding anniversary, 
E. H. "Buck" and Joyce Watkins of Midland marked this momentous 
milestone in their lives with a family party at their home; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Watkins married the former Joyce Stamp on June 
12, 1943, in a ceremony held in Fort Worth; through the years, their 
warm and rewarding relationship has served as an inspiration to 
their wide circle of loved ones and has been the source of much 
happiness and contentment for these two committed individuals; and
	WHEREAS, The heart of a close-knit family, Mr. and Mrs. 
Watkins have been blessed with two children, Judy Spruell and Jill 
Faulder, and three grandchildren, Jennifer Young, and Ben and Blair 
Deweese; and
	WHEREAS, Retired from a career as a medical secretary, Mrs. 
Watkins involves herself in the activities of the Woman's Club, the 
Twentieth Century Study Club, and the En Amie Book Review Club, as 
well as the Las Camaradas Bridge Group; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Watkins is retired from a career with Texaco 
that spanned 39 years; a Mason and a dedicated volunteer with the 
Petroleum Museum, he is a member of the American Association of 
Professional Landmen and enjoys golfing; and
	WHEREAS, Highly regarded residents of their community, the 
couple are members of the Santa Rita Club and the Fellowship Class 
of the First United Methodist Church; and
	WHEREAS, Together, this devoted couple have nurtured a strong 
bond of love and filled each other's lives with great joy, and it is 
a privilege to join in honoring them at this time; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate E. H. "Buck" 
and Joyce Watkins on the joyous occasion of their 60th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them best wishes for continued happiness; 
and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Watkins as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
