R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Since 1989, Maverick Arms, Inc., in Eagle Pass has 
produced reliable and affordable hunting and security firearms, and 
the owners and employees of this fine company are deserving of 
recognition for their commitment to high quality; and
	WHEREAS, A division of O. F. Mossberg & Sons, Inc., Maverick 
Arms has stimulated the economy of Eagle Pass, creating hundreds of 
jobs in Maverick County while earning several awards for 
excellence; and
	WHEREAS, The company was recently named Big Business of the 
Year at the 9th Annual Business Journal Awards, and employee Imelda 
Rodriguez was named Secretary of the Year; in addition, director of 
operations Monico Juarez has been recognized as one of the top 
managers in the corporation; and
	WHEREAS, Maverick Arms, Inc., has gained a reputation for 
crafting high-quality products that meet the needs of consumers, 
and this well-deserved reputation has been built on the strength of 
the company's many dedicated employees; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby recognize Maverick Arms, 
Inc., and its dedicated employees for maintaining the highest 
standards of excellence in the production process; and, be it 
further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Maverick Arms, Inc., and its employees as an 
expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
