R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Dan and Shirley Peevy of Bonus, Texas, marked a 
golden milestone in their lives together on September 20, 2003, 
when they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary among family 
and friends; and
	WHEREAS, The Peevys were joined in marriage on September 20, 
1953, and through the years, their close and enduring relationship 
has served as an inspiration to their wide circle of loved ones and 
has been the source of much happiness and contentment for these two 
committed individuals; and
	WHEREAS, The heart of their close-knit family, Mr. and Mrs. 
Peevy have been richly blessed with three children, Sharon Joines, 
Bob Peevy, and David Peevy; their children's spouses, Tom Joines, 
Cindy Peevy, and Lisa Peevy; and seven grandchildren, Jamie, Drew, 
Christen, Danielle, Justin, John, and Jason; and
	WHEREAS, Together, this devoted couple have nurtured a strong 
bond of love and filled each other's lives with great joy, and it is 
a privilege to join in honoring them at this time; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Dan and 
Shirley Peevy on the joyous occasion of their 50th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 
happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Peevy as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
