                                                                  H.R. No. 283



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, A golden wedding anniversary is truly cause for 
celebration, and on September 26, 2003, Huey and Charlene Harris of 
Lamesa marked this memorable milestone in their marriage; and
	WHEREAS, Mr. Harris and the former Charlene Hutchings were 
joined in holy matrimony on September 26, 1953, in a ceremony in 
Roswell, New Mexico; the couple have shared a close and fulfilling 
relationship that has been the source of much happiness and 
contentment for these two committed individuals; and
	WHEREAS, The heart of a cherished family, they take great 
delight in their daughter and son-in-law, Valena and Danny Holmes, 
their granddaughter and her husband, Naomi and Jason Martinez, 
their grandson and his wife, Caleb and Vanessa Holmes, and their 
five great-grandchildren, Evan and Kiaunah Martinez and Aisia, 
Briana, and Cassidy Holmes; and
	WHEREAS, Together, this devoted couple have nurtured a strong 
bond of love and filled each other's lives with great joy, and it is 
a privilege to honor them at this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Huey and 
Charlene Harris on the joyous occasion of their 50th wedding 
anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued 
happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Harris as an expression of high regard by 
the Texas House of Representatives.
