R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, The Reverend A. R. Evans, Sr., and Vivian Jeanette 
Evans of Austin marked a golden milestone in their lives when they 
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 3, 2003, with 
a reception held in their honor; and
	WHEREAS, The heart of their close-knit family, this admirable 
couple have been richly blessed with three children, the Reverend 
A. R. Evans, Jr., the Reverend E. W. Evans, Sr., and Della Guidry, 
and their family has grown to include their children's spouses, 
Cedel, Barbara, and Theo, 10 grandchildren, and a 
great-granddaughter; through the years, their close and enduring 
relationship has served as an inspiration to their wide circle of 
loved ones and has been the source of much happiness and 
contentment; and
	WHEREAS, Together, this devoted couple have nurtured a strong 
bond of love and filled each other's lives with great joy, and it is 
a privilege to join in honoring them at this time; now, therefore, 
be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate the Reverend 
A. R. Evans, Sr., and Vivian Jeanette Evans on the joyous occasion 
of their 50th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best 
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
