R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, On November 6, 2003, Sheree Tarver will receive the 
Presidential Student Service Award at the 2003 Leadership Awards 
Gala in recognition of excellence in community service; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Tarver and her coalition devoted 107 hours to 
several worthy endeavors, most notably one to help teenage parents 
care for their infants while finishing their high school education 
that included a donation program called "Dimes for Diapers"; the 
coalition also offered a dance program at Wesley Chapel Church for 
girls age 3 to 18; and
	WHEREAS, The Presidential Student Service Award is a truly 
prestigious honor that is presented to only the most deserving 
recipients, and through her receipt of this coveted award, Sheree 
Tarver has joined an elite group of public-spirited individuals; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Sheree Tarver 
on her receipt of the Presidential Student Service Award and 
commend this exemplary individual for her commitment to community 
service; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Sheree Tarver as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
