H.R. No. 326



R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, On November 6, 2003, Lisibeth Ocampo will receive 
the Presidential Student Service Award at the 2003 Leadership 
Awards Gala in recognition of excellence in community service; and
	WHEREAS, Ms. Ocampo and her coalition devoted 148 hours to 
tutoring fourth- and fifth-graders at A. J. Martin Elementary 
School in math and language arts; the group's twice-weekly efforts 
resulted in a marked improvement in the students' overall grade 
point average; and
	WHEREAS, The Presidential Student Service Award is a truly 
prestigious honor that is presented to only the most deserving 
recipients, and through her receipt of this coveted award, Lisibeth 
Ocampo has joined an elite group of public-spirited individuals; 
now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Lisibeth 
Ocampo on her receipt of the Presidential Student Service Award and 
commend this exemplary individual for her commitment to community 
service; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Lisibeth Ocampo as an expression of high regard by the 
Texas House of Representatives.
