R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Jennifer Lavers of Katy has demonstrated excellence 
in the sport of competitive swimming, and she is truly deserving of 
special recognition; and
	WHEREAS, In February 2002, Ms. Lavers won first place in the 
100-yard breaststroke at the Class 5A State Championships, 
defeating a talented field of swimmers and becoming the first state 
swimming champion in the history of the Katy Independent School 
District; and
	WHEREAS, This dedicated student-athlete has a bright and 
promising future, and it is indeed a privilege to recognize her at 
this time; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby honor Jennifer Lavers for 
her athletic achievements and extend best wishes to her for 
continued success in all her endeavors; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for Ms. Lavers as an expression of high regard by the Texas 
House of Representatives.
