SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 20

	WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 
recognize Normandy Crossing Elementary School of the Galena Park 
Independent School District on the occasion of its dedication on 
September 23, 2003; and

	WHEREAS, On this joyful day, school and district 
officials, students, teachers, staff, and Galena Park residents 
are gathering for the ribbon cutting ceremony at the school, 
followed by the dedication program; and

	WHEREAS, Galena Park Independent School District strives 
to prepare students to be productive citizens and lifelong 
learners, and Normandy Crossing Elementary School will dedicate 
itself to fulfilling this noble mission; and

	WHEREAS, Working together, the students, teachers, and 
families of this new addition to Galena Park will create a 
positive and inspirational climate in which all children can 
develop their true potential; now, therefore, be it

	RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 
78th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby join the citizens 
of Galena Park in celebrating the opening of Normandy Crossing 
Elementary School and extend best wishes for a memorable 
dedication ceremony; and, be it further

	RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 
the students, teachers, staff, and families of the school as an 
expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
