SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 21
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Alice Braun on the occasion of her retirement after
nearly 40 years of loyal service to the state; and
WHEREAS, Alice began her tenure with the state when she
joined the Texas Employment Commission in 1964; the commission
later became the Texas Workforce Commission, and she recently
retired as head of its Data Entry Department; and
WHEREAS, Alice was noted for her superior organizational
skills, her dedication to her work at the commission, and her
expertise in data processing; and
WHEREAS, A consummate professional, Alice displayed
superior judgment in dealing with the challenges and
responsibilities she faced throughout her career; and
WHEREAS, A distinguished and exemplary public servant,
Alice is admired and respected by her former colleagues, and her
presence at the Texas Workforce Commission will be greatly
missed; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Alice Braun
on her successful career and her years of outstanding service to
the citizens of Texas and extend to her best wishes for the
retirement years ahead; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
