SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 61
WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to
recognize Rosavel Mora, who has been named Regional Teacher of
the Year by the Region Two Education Service Center; and
WHEREAS, A mathematics teacher at Alice High School in the
Alice Independent School District, Rosavel received the award
for the secondary level division, and she is now eligible to
compete for the statewide title; in honor of her achievement,
she will receive a $500 award from the SBC Foundation; and
WHEREAS, Selection of the Regional Teacher of the Year by
the Region Two Education Service Center is based on a teacher's
professional development, recognition, community involvement,
teaching philosophy, and understanding of major education
issues; and
WHEREAS, A dedicated and gifted teacher, Rosavel Mora has
had a positive impact on the lives of many students; her award
reflects her commitment to excellence in teaching and brings
honor to herself, her school, the school district, and the Alice
community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
78th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby commend Rosavel Mora
for her exemplary teaching skills and extend to her congratulations
on earning the title of Regional Teacher of the Year; and, be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
her as an expression of high regard from the Texas Senate.
