SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 115
WHEREAS, Interfaith of The Woodlands marks a notable milestone in the year 2003, as it commemorates 30 years of helping residents of The Woodlands and South Montgomery County; and WHEREAS, Executive director Chuck Ducharme guides the organization, which provides an array of programs and services for families and seniors, including a food pantry, an employee assistance center, and a child development center; further, Interfaith of The Woodlands publishes a yearly telephone directory of area residential and business information; and WHEREAS, Interfaith's services are offered at no charge to those in need, and its continuing operation is made possible by the generous financial and volunteer support of community residents and member congregations; and WHEREAS, For three decades, Interfaith of The Woodlands has strengthened the social fabric of this southeast Texas community, and it is a pleasure to join in honoring all those involved with the work of this fine organization; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 78th Legislature, 3rd Called Session, hereby congratulate Interfaith of The Woodlands on the occasion of its 30th anniversary and extend to its staff members and volunteers sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this Resolution be prepared for Interfaith of The Woodlands as an expression of high regard by the Texas Senate.
