R E S O L U T I O N
	WHEREAS, Park Crest Middle School in Pflugerville has been 
recognized by the National Center for Educational Accountability as 
one of Texas' most successful schools for its achievements in 
writing; and
	WHEREAS, The National Center for Educational Accountability, 
an organized research unit at The University of Texas at Austin, in 
partnership with the Education Commission of the States, based its 
choice on a statistical analysis of statewide standardized test 
results; and
	WHEREAS, Students in schools included on the center's list 
have demonstrated a deep commitment to academic excellence as 
measured by their achievements over the last three years; and
	WHEREAS, The students, faculty, and administrators of Park 
Crest Middle School are a vital part of the Lone Star State's public 
education system and a great source of pride to the community of 
Pflugerville, and they are truly deserving of this impressive 
recognition; now, therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 78th Texas 
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby commend all those 
associated with Park Crest Middle School for its designation as one 
of the state's top-performing schools and extend to them sincere 
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be 
prepared for display at Park Crest Middle School as an expression of 
high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
